KAT CLIFT
Kat is an expert hairdresser with extensive education and experience spanning over 25 years in all aspects of hairdressing. Specialising in colour, cutting and styling, she aspires to continually update her skills and knowledge to stay on-trend and ahead of the curve in the industry.
In her journey as a salon owner, she naturally steered towards education and training, recognising the importance of ongoing training in the ever evolving world of hairdressing.
Kat is excited to step into the role of Director of Education and is looking forward to assist the next generation of hairdressers in their skill development.
ANTHONY TAVERNA
Anthony Taverna is the proud owner of Plek Barbershop on Currie Street and is known for his exceptional customer service experiences. Specialising in a modern take on classic cuts, traditional beard trims and hot towel shaves, Plek has been a pioneer of barbering since it hit Adelaide in 2016.
Anthony has put his skills to practice across the globe, training in Amsterdam in 2014, and completing his qualifications is Barbering and Shaving in trendy Shoreditch in London.
Back here in Australia, Anthony identified a gap in the market, and quickly filled that hole by launching Plek Barbershop. His passion for the industry and education knows no bounds.
LUKE MUNN
Hailing from Adelaide, Luke is an award-winning stylist whose love for hair is nothing short of astounding.
His impressive collection of awards speaks volumes about his commitment to excellence. But what truly sets Luke apart is his dedication to educating and mentoring. He's not just a stylist; he's a sought-after mentor and inspiration for budding stylists.
Grace Del Borello
After nearly 20 years in the hairdressing industry, Grace has embraced many roles. She began her career as a salon as a stylist, then continued her journey as a session stylist and business development manager for large hair companies.
Grace has successfully run a home salon for seven years. For the past three years, her most rewarding role has been as a Technical Educator for Affinage Professionals, where she loves sharing her knowledge with other stylists.
JANELLE ZARA
Janelle Zara grew up in Adelaide, and cut her teeth as a professional hairstylist in Sydney, where she was trained and mentored by world-renowned upstyling specialist, Sharon Blaine.
After specialising in Sydney brides for just short of a decade, Janelle fell in love with styling for fashion editorial, runway and education.
Janelle moved back to Adelaide to take on Creative Directorship of Davroe Haircare, where she took the team to New York to be the hair sponsor of Fashion Palette NYFW.
Janelle takes pride in her ability to execute the most complex and creative styling briefs.
LISA ROBERTSON
Lisa from Parlour Glenelg, has been cutting hair for 18 years. She’s honed her skills by learning from many industry greats... and now she wants to be part of your upskilling journey.
Lisa’s vibe? She’s all about styling hair in a way that makes it easy for the client to do themselves at home. She’s competed in many competitions over the years to push herself and flex her creativity, winning her fair share of trophies. Biggest to date is AHIA SA/Tas hairdresser of the year for 2022.
Sami Karahusseyin
With over 20 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, including a decade of owning and operating a successful salon, Sami transitioned into the education sector to share her passion and expertise.
As the Global Education Manager for one of Australia’s leading hair extension companys, Sami is dedicated to inspiring and training the next generation of hair professionals. Her journey from hairdresser to educator reflects in her commitment to continuous learning and desire to elevate industry standards through comprehensive education programs.
DAVID CORRY
David has been in the business of hair for more than 25 years including time in London teaching at a hairdressing college and being a salon owner for over 10 years. David specialises in textured hair from wavy to curly to coily and has created a unique and diverse curl community from within his own salon in Brisbane.
David’s passion for all things curly has resulted in the creation of a beautiful space open to all clients and David will share his skills, knowledge and inspiration to empower you to take charge of your own curl journey.
STEPH POWELL
With over 15 years experience in the beauty industry here in Adelaide and overseas, Steph is incredibly passionate about all things beauty! Running a busy award winning salon, and constantly training and developing new talent, means that she stays forefront of the industry.
Having mentored staff for over a decade Steph’s favourite part is seeing when confidence is built and helping students master a new skill.
Jeanette Taverna
Jeannette Taverna is Artav Australia’s Beauty Research Development Manager and a qualified beauty therapist, with let’s just say ‘many’ years of professional and training experience.
An accomplished educator, Jeannette has covered all aspects of beauty services including product benefits and application techniques. Jeannette has successfully trained countless salon owners and their staff in the use of the Caflon Ear Piercing System.
