Learn from Salon Hair Care’s very own Director of Education and Colour Technician, Jess Roberts.

With over 15 years of industry experience, Jess has spent her time specialising in all things hair, with a particular passion for smoothing systems and colour.

Blondes and vivids are Jess’ bag when it comes to the hands-on work, but Jess’ deepest love is that of educating others. In her time as a high-performing salon manager, Jess dipped her toe in the training and development world, supporting her team to reach their goals and give their clients the hair they’ve always dreamed of.

Now? Jess has pursued her passion for education, completing her Training and Assessment Certificate to become our head educator. She’s all about helping you reach your upskilling goals.


Lisa from Parlour Glenelg, has been cutting hair for 18 years. She’s honed her skills by learning from many industry greats... and now she wants to be part of your upskilling journey.

Lisa’s vibe? She’s all about styling hair in a way that makes it easy for the client to do themselves at home. She’s competed in many competitions over the years to push herself and flex her creativity, winning her fair share of trophies. Biggest to date is AHIA SA/Tas hairdresser of the year for 2022.


Janelle Zara grew up in Adelaide, and cut her teeth as a professional hairstylist in Sydney, where she was trained and mentored by world-renowned upstyling specialist, Sharon Blaine.

After specialising in Sydney brides for just short of a decade, Janelle fell in love with styling for fashion editorial, runway and education.
Janelle moved back to Adelaide to take on Creative Directorship of Davroe Haircare, where she took the team to New York to be the hair sponsor of Fashion Palette NYFW.

Janelle takes pride in her ability to execute the most complex and creative styling briefs.


Industry leading colour technicians Nina Santucci and Gab Driver come to you with an enormous wealth of knowledge about all things colour.

Hailing from Access Hair in Sydney, both Nina and Gab can share the skills they’ve developed over 20 years to give you an inside look into colour techniques for happy clients.

Caitlin Penny has been in the hairdressing industry for a decade, and has graced many boutique salons across Adelaide during her illustrious career. She attributes her passion for the hairdressing industry to working along side some of South Australia’s top players.

When it comes to her specialty, Caitlyn’s love lies in curls, styling and colour work, and gravitates particularly to lived in looks with a bouncy blow-dry to finish. Of course, up there with her passions is education. Penny believes education is the key to working freely and without fear.


With more than 40 years’ experience as a Hairdresser, Salon Owner and Wholesaler, Leah Campbell brings a broad range of education expertise in supporting professionals across the full industry spectrum. Leah’s specialist approach to bespoke educational content provides the tools needed to implement the latest innovative practices in your salon. Leah is passionate about the evolution of the hairdressing industry and empowering hairdressers with the skills and knowledge to provide the ultimate client experience. David has been in the business of hair for more than 25 years including time in London teaching at a hairdressing college and being a salon owner for over 10 years. David specialises in textured hair from wavy to curly to coily and has created a unique and diverse curl community from within his own salon in Brisbane.

David’s passion for all things curly has resulted in the creation of a beautiful space open to all clients and David will share his skills, knowledge and inspiration to empower you to take charge of your own curl journey.


Anthony Taverna is the proud owner of Plek Barbershop on Currie Street and is known for his exceptional customer service experiences. Specialising in a modern take on classic cuts, traditional beard trims and hot towel shaves, Plek has been a pioneer of barbering since it hit Adelaide in 2016.

Anthony has put his skills to practice across the globe, training in Amsterdam in 2014, and completing his qualifications is Barbering and Shaving in trendy Shoreditch in London.

Back here in Australia, Anthony identified a gap in the market, and quickly filled that hole by launching Plek Barbershop. His passion for the industry and education knows no bounds.


Kym is a Salon Business Specialist with a wealth of industry knowledge and experience spanning over 35 years. She’s managed dozens of salons, mentored hundreds of salon owners to outstanding results, and taken three of her own businesses from start-up to successful, award-winning operations. An industry mastermind with invaluable methods to help salon owners get serious results. A Hairdresser with a business degree and a fascination for human behaviour, she’s an outstanding business educator with a ‘knack’ for making the complicated sound simple and has a passion for building exceptional businesses, thriving teams and cultures of excellence.


With over 15 years experience in the beauty industry here in Adelaide and overseas, Steph is incredibly passionate about all things beauty! Running a busy award winning salon, and constantly training and developing new talent, means that she stays forefront of the industry.

Having mentored staff for over a decade Steph’s favourite part is seeing when confidence is built and helping students master a new skill.

Jeanette Taverna

Jeannette Taverna is Artav Australia’s Beauty Research Development Manager and a qualified beauty therapist, with let’s just say ‘many’ years of professional and training experience.

An accomplished educator, Jeannette has covered all aspects of beauty services including product benefits and application techniques. Jeannette has successfully trained countless salon owners and their staff in the use of the Caflon Ear Piercing System.

Paul Ricupito & Kayt Paine

Paul brings a wealth of experience as a platform artist, including behind-the-scenes at fashion week and as a pivotal figure in the Next Gen Hair Show. Over the past two decades, Kayt has worked alongside Paul, currently leading his team and serving as the head colourist at Debarge. Together, Paul and Kayt bring their wealth of experience to their roles as guest artists for Alfaparf Milano Professional, showcasing their dedication and passion for the industry while inspiring and educating others.
